8VA. CAMINATA POR LA SALUD
Con la participación de cientos de sus asociados, Cooperativa La Altagracia, Inc., celebró La 8va. Caminata por la Salud, durante un amplio recorrido por varios sectores de la zona Noroeste de la ciudad.
La actividad fue iniciada frente a la sucursal La Esperanza en la carretera Jacagua y recorrió las calles de los sectores: Buenos Aires, Los Reyes, Los Salados y Camboya, donde los residentes de estas barriadas les dieron un caluroso recibimiento a los caminantes por la salud.
El presidente de la Cooperativa, Lic. Rafael Narciso Vargas, al pronunciar las palabras de motivación, expresó que la misma tiene el propósito de estimular a nuestros asociados y la comunidad en general, a caminar por lo menos 15 minutos diariamente o realizar otros ejercicios que les permitan eliminar grasas, con lo que se logra un cuerpo y mente más saludable y se reducen las posibilidades de padecer enfermedades cardiovasculares, entre otras.
La actividad coordinada por la Comisión de Deportes, contó con el apoyo de brigadas de la Cruz Roja, AMETRASAN, Grupos de Servicios Comunitarios de Cienfuegos y miembros de la Policía Nacional, en garantía de la seguridad y el orden.
